Read about my triathlon

Showing the girls that ladies can be sporty!

Lucy and Rebecca are watching me do a triathlon. Rebecca does not understand why everytime she sees me - I leave.

Picture of me at the end of my run - don't worry, I put my butt in gear and passed that other lady. Seriously, I was just grateful to be approaching the finish line.

The post is entitled "My Triathlon". For some reason, we've lost the byline. At any rate, most of the other posts there are by Greg, not me - in case you become confused.

Into the stay at home dad routine

It's been more than a month that I've been at home while mom trudges off to work again.  Didn't post about it... oops!

It's wonderful, I love my time with my girls.  I've been having trouble getting enough sleep, and have been hoping for more exercise time.

I'm going to have to get better about loading the girls up in the Gobug when it's time to take them to classes, or groceries or whatever.  I can jog, walk or bike with it, so I should be able to get some good workouts going without sacrificing time with the girls, or sleep time.

I've also got to work on filling my schedule more during the days.  It seems like days where there's something on the calendar, be it classes, errands, playdates or museum visits, just seem to go more easily than when I start the day and never seem to get my butt in gear and get on top of things.  It's like you slip behind the curve and play catch up with the girls all day and get nothing done, not even all the chores that always need doing.  If instead I can scoop them up and head out of the house, I get a bunch more stuff done.

I also think being more active sets a better example for the girls.

I should stash some spare changing supplies and some sunscreen in the trailer so I can just head out the door without the rigamarole of prepping the diaper bag etc etc.
